The AI-Era Developer: Why Speed and Judgment Matter More Than Ever

Every developer now has access to roughly the same AI tools — Claude Code, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor. That's leveled a part of the playing field that used to be a real differentiator: how fast someone could type out a working feature. When the mechanical part of building software gets faster for everyone, the thing that separates developers stops being speed of typing and starts being speed and quality of decisions.

What "fastest developer" actually means now

It doesn't mean shipping the first thing an AI agent generates. It means knowing, in the first minute of a request, what the right shape of the solution is — which of ten plausible approaches actually fits the client's real constraints — and then using AI tooling to get there in hours instead of days. The bottleneck moved from implementation to judgment, and judgment is exactly what doesn't get automated by a language model.

Why this matters for hiring

If you're a real estate developer, a business owner, or anyone hiring a web developer in the UAE right now, the honest pitch isn't "I use AI tools" — most developers do, or will soon. It's whether the person you hire has the judgment to use those tools toward the right outcome for your specific business, quickly, and the accountability to stand behind what ships. That's what I try to bring to every project, from a property developer's marketing site to an ERP rollout.

Where I'm placing my bet

I build with Claude Code and ChatGPT as standard parts of my process, not as a novelty. I think that's simply what modern, competitive web development looks like now — real estate websites, ERP systems, AI automation and SEO, built faster because the tooling is better, without lowering the bar on what actually ships to a client.
